Review September 2017

Jason DJ’d our wedding this past Friday 9/15/17. He was professional from the first email to packing his things after our reception. He listened to what my husband and I wanted and didn’t want. He responded to emails within minutes. He kept the dance floor packed all night and I have had so many compliments on how great he was! Thank you again Jason for making our day so great!

Your Fall Dance floor 2017

There is nothing quite like a dance floor crowded with the people you love the most to make you feel like you’ve nailed this wedding reception thing! When prepping for your wedding, one of the most important things you’ll choose (aside from your partner) is your playlist—the perfect mix of tunes can get the love endorphins pumping, have your guests singing and dancing to their favorite songs, and set the tone for a fabulous evening. But choosing music can be a daunting task—music is so Continue reading →

What does a DJ like me actually do?

I came across this question from a few different individuals; “What does a DJ actually do at a wedding?” For those that aren’t familiar with professional wedding DJs it may seem all they do is push a button and play music. While planning music is one of the core functions of the DJ, there is so much more that goes on. Many times the Wedding DJ stands in as pseudo-Wedding Coordinator if the couple has not hired one or if the venue does not provide one. I can’t speak Continue reading →

What songs do you need to pick out for your DJ before the wedding?

All specific songs for dances, intros, etc., should DEFINITELY be picked out prior to the wedding. As far as the cocktail, dinner, and dancing music is concerned it really depends on the DJ. Some DJs want to have all their music ready to go prior to the event. I however, like to have a general idea of what the client wants, as well as the ages, ethnicity, dress, and amount of alcohol consumed by the guests. I like to have a general idea and Continue reading →
